Up, up and away!

World's first 100 mile per hour LIM-powered launch coaster

"Superman: The Escape" was created when Six Flags was owned by Time-Warner, under an effort to integrate their brands into all Six Flags theme parks. The tallest ride of its kind at the time, it was the world's first 100 mile per hour launch coaster to use LIM-powered motors, propelling guests straight out and then straight up for a few seconds of weightlessness before falling back to earth into Superman's "Fortress of Solitude."

Integrating Time-Warner brands into the park to increase revenue and leverage existing brand value.
